How is today's day type calculated?

VinoLuna follows Maria Thun's biodynamic calendar: the day type (fruit, flower, leaf or root) is driven by which zodiac constellation the moon is currently transiting, using the real, unequal boundaries of the twelve constellations — not a simplified equal-degree approximation. Why does the app ask for my location?

VinoLuna asks for approximate location purely to show your city and region next to the date. It's entirely optional — the calendar calculation itself doesn't depend on where you are, since the moon's zodiac position is the same everywhere on Earth at any given moment. If you decline, the app works identically, just without the location label. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.

The widget isn't updating

iOS controls how often widgets refresh to save battery — VinoLuna's widget requests an update roughly once an hour, but iOS may delay this under low-power conditions. Opening the main app always shows the current, live calculation.

I found a bug or the calendar looks wrong

Please email us the date, what the app showed, and what device/iOS version you're using — that's usually enough for us to reproduce and fix it.
